Unalike Faces
Collectible Card at VibeMarket
Unalike Faces is an artwork I created using digital media, a pen tablet and laptop.
The whole process is done manually, from start to finish.
Every line you see comes from my own hand, not from an automated system, not from any mechanical process.
This collection is released on Vibe Market, a digital collectible card platform.
I usually draw at night, when most people are already asleep,
when the world starts to quiet down from all the noise and movement.
For some reason, I always feel more at peace creating in that kind of atmosphere.
There’s something about the darkness, the cool air, and the silence of the night that feels right for expressing what I feel.
Most of the time, I draw outside, in a small garden next to my house, under the night sky.
In those moments, I can focus better. I feel calm.
The idea for Unalike Faces came from a simple thought that once crossed my mind:
“Have you ever realized that human faces in this world are almost never the same?”
Later, when I looked back, I realized how unique every person truly is.
Sometimes faces might look similar, but if you look closer, they’re never identical.
From the lines of the face, the structure, the direction of the eyes, to the expression,
each one carries something that cannot be the same.
And if we go even further, into life itself, into the stories each person lives,
everything becomes much more different and complex.
The place where someone grows up, how they deal with problems, how they learn, lose, love, get hurt, and survive —
all of that shapes who they are.
From there, I became interested in translating that uniqueness into visual form.
The drawing process itself is never planned.
There is no sketch, no fixed concept.
I start from one line and let everything flow.
From the first to the last line, I just follow the feeling,
the same goes for the colors I choose.
Sometimes, in the middle of the process, shapes, symbols, or objects appear,
things I never meant to draw, even the layout seems to form on its own.
I often don’t know what they mean.
Sometimes I ask myself,
“Why did I draw this? Where did this come from?”
Maybe the answer lies in the things I’ve experienced, heard, read, or seen in the past.
Maybe that’s the reason, or maybe it’s not.
But I don’t try to figure it out.
I don’t want to force a meaning.
I let each piece speak in its own way.
For me, the process itself is what matters most, not the reason behind it.
In Unalike Faces, each work will exist as a digital card,
with classifications like Common, Rare, Legendary, and so on.
But personally, I don’t mean to classify people by value.
That part is simply how the platform works.
For me, no human being is higher or lower than another.
Each has their own beauty, their own uniqueness, their own worth.
This collection is a reminder,
that every human face is proof of a uniqueness and a journey that will never repeat.
Old faces leave the world, and new faces are born into it.
Resemblance does not mean sameness.
And maybe, that’s where the beauty truly lies.
Every face deserves to be reflected upon, questioned, studied, or understood,
because each one exists with its own meaning and value.
ARTWORK

The Unalike Faces collection is ongoing.
New works will continue to be added over time, reflecting the artist’s evolving emotions, discoveries, and visual language.
Each new piece marks another step in Mukhlis’s continuous exploration of faces, identity, and the quiet complexity of being human.
